| Preferred Specimen | 2 ML Serum. Allow Sst to Clot in An Upright Position for at least 30 Minutes, Then Centrifuge Sample Within 2 hours of Collection. Transfer Serum to a Plastic Transport Tube. Freeze. Protect Sample from Light During Collection, Storage and Transport. patient should refrain from Alcohol Consumption for 24 hours prior to Collection. patient should be fasting for 12 hours prior to Collection. When Multiple Tests are Ordered, Submit Separate Tube for this Test. |
